岸本 充生 教授、福田 雅樹 教授が作成に関わった報告書 “The Innovative University – Renewing the Role of Universities in the Digital Innovation and Artificial Intelligence Ecosystem” が公表されました。
2019年7月にパリで開催されたG７に合わせて、18か国48大学のトップがパリに集まり U7+ （U7 Alliance of world universities）が発足し、第1回 U7+サミットが開催されました。大阪大学からは、西尾章治郎総長らが出席していました。第1回 U7+サミットでは、6つの原則とそれぞれの項目に関する行動計画が盛り込まれ、最終的な提言文書としてまとめられました。
6つの原則のうちの1つ Principle 5 のAction 4（*1）では、第2回 U7+サミットに提出するための報告書（ポジションペーパー）の作成が進められ、本センターの岸本センター長と福田教授が参画してきました。

Principle 5: To engage with stakeholders and solve complex issues of global relevance we recognize that universities must promote interdisciplinary research and learning, in particular bridging in our research and teaching between social sciences, humanities, the life sciences and STEM disciplines.
Action 4: Exercising strong leadership, alongside tech companies and governments, in developing and promoting guidelines about how data sciences and digital innovation should be handled
Championed by Université de Montréal.
11 U7+ universities will take part in this action.
テレビ会議や対面での会議を経て、2020年6月、”The Innovative University – Renewing the Role of Universities in the Digital Innovation and Artificial Intelligence Ecosystem” が公表されました。この報告書の18ページに掲載されているコラムでは、本センターについて紹介されています。
今後は参画している大学のネットーワークを利用した活動を検討することになっています。
