A Japanese translation of the Montreal Declaration for a Responsible Development of Artificial Intelligence has been published (https://www.montrealdeclaration-responsibleai.com/japanese).

It was prepared with the assistance of the following staff members:
Yusuke Shikano (Center for the Study of Co* Design/Research Center on Ethical, Legal and Social Issues, Osaka University)
Amelia Katirai (Research Center on Ethical, Legal and Social Issues, Osaka University)
Atsuo Kishimoto (Institute for Datability Science/Research Center on Ethical, Legal and Social Issues, Osaka University).

The Declaration outlines ten ethical principles and values that are relevant to the field of artificial intelligence. It is intended for individuals, organizations, and companies interested in engaging in responsible AI development. It was developed through a collaborative, deliberative process that involved a diverse range of stakeholders, including citizens, experts, and industry actors.

In February 2020, Professor Catherine Regis of the University of Montreal visited Osaka University to speak at a symposium on the Montreal Declaration.
